Lightfair International, held annually, is the most prestigious lighting event in North America. This award marks the third time in four years at this event that TIR has been recognized for its leadership in LED-based Solid State Lighting (SSL).

The Lexel® won BCTIA’s Most Promising Pre-Commercial Technology award. Technology Impact Awards are a mark of distinction and a celebration of outstanding leadership, innovation and technical excellence.

Lightfair

Best of Category New Product Showcase (Destiny CV), Lightfair International, 2004.

Each year, the New Product Showcase displays the latest in architectural and commercial lighting products. Beating nine other entries, the Destiny CV won Best of Category at Lightfair 2004. Winning this award in a category traditionally dominated by conventional technology validates both TIR and the whole SSL industry.

Best New Product of the Year (Destiny CW), Lightfair International, 2003.

Destiny CW won Best New Product at the Lightfair 2003 New Product Showcase, revealing the potential for Solid State Lighting to compete with conventional lighting in architectural applications.


Edwin F. Guth Award of Merit (Strawberry Mansion Bridge project using Light Pipe with color changing luminaires), Pacific Northwest IESNA, 2002.

The Strawberry Mansion Bridge lighting project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, won the Edwin F. Guth Award of Merit for the Pacific Northwest Region of the Illuminating Engineers Society of North America (IESNA). TIR provided SSL color changing luminaires and Light Pipe to delineate the arches of the bridge that spans the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park.

Corporate:

Award of Excellence for Performance & Service, A&W, 2005.

The A&W Supplier Award of Excellence winners are determined through evaluations submitted by A&W’s New Restaurant Operators, A&W’s Accounting Department, and the Equipment Services Managers. TIR received an outstanding result and earned A&W’s Award of Excellence for performance and Service levels during 2005.

In 2005, TIR was ranked in the Top 100 of Fastest Growing Companies by Profit 100.


BCTIA

Emerging Company of the Year award, BC Technology Industries Association (BCTIA), 2004.

The BCTIA Annual Awards are most significant for British Columbia’s technology industry. The Emerging Company of the Year Award recognizes TIR's contribution to technology in developing and progressing key enabling technologies that will allow Solid State Lighting to replace conventional lighting.


BC Export Award for Advancing Technologies, BC Export Awards, 2004.

The annual BC Export Awards recognize outstanding export success and celebrate the contribution of British Columbia's business community and export industry to the economy of the province.


Innovator of the Year, BP Global Alliance Supplier Conference, 2003.

TIR was awarded the Innovator of the Year award by the BP Global Alliance for outstanding Product, Project Management and Customer Focus.
